Marion Bible Fellowship History

November, 1969 - Began meeting in the Marion Grange Hall 

March, 1970 - Church officially incorporated and Rev Charles Ellis was called to serve as Pastor

November 1971 - Rev Arthur Lundberg was called to serve as Pastor

May, 1972 - Purchased land at 3040 Walworth-Marion Road

June 1973 - Ground breaking service

April, 1975 - Soon after construction was complete the Church was dedicated to the glory of God

Grace Baptist Church

February, 1977 - Began meeting in the Williamson Grange Hall with Rev Robert DuCasse as its first Pastor

Spring, 1978 - Moved to meeting in Pastor DuCasse’s home, joined fellowship with the General Association of Regular Baptist Churches

March, 1979 - Church officially incorporated

April, 1979 - An unoccupied Presbyterian Church in Marion was found and cleaning and repairs began

June, 1979 - Rev Timothy Bantle was called to serve as Pastor

Fall, 1981 -Marion Bible Fellowship contacted Grace Baptist Church and, since they had no pastor, decided to dissolve their fellowship and deed their property over to Grace Baptist 

December, 1981, Grace Baptist Church of Marion moved into the Marion Bible Fellowship building and some of the remaining members from Marion Bible Fellowship united with Grace Baptist Church for form a blessed and loving congregation.

June, 1985 - Ground breaking service for a large church addition

January 7, 2025 - Pastor Bantle Retires

April 9, 2025 - Pastor Keith Seager was called to serve as Pastor
